Chapel Hill Visit

Our latest trip was to North Carolina over Mother's Day weekend. It was a relaxing, fun time of seeing family and friends. We went for Jenna's graduation from UNC. It was hard to believe that 6 years ago, Brent and I were sitting where she was. Plus it's crazy to see how large the graduating class is... almost 6,000! Luckily Jenna and her friends brought pool noodles to help us see them. Only problem was, one other group had the same idea, haha.

Another fun aspect of the trip was hanging out with our nephew Baylor who recently turned 1 year old. He is a bundle of energy. He just started walking so that's all he wants to do. Brian and Holly climbed the stadium steps with him at least 20 times during graduation. I see an athlete in his future. I'm so glad that we got to experience what are still his first steps. The last time we saw him - last June - he was 2 months old. My how time flies.

Hanging out with Lauren at the strawberry farm she LIVES on (lucky, right?) was fun too, Waller Farms. It's strawberry season so a lot of people were out picking them. The place was beautiful this time of year. We hung out on her backyard picnic table for hours talking and soaking up the sun, which was not accompanied by humidity to my surprise. It was just perfect NC springtime weather. Ahh.

A great trip and we were so thankful to see everyone. Looking forward to September when we'll be there for Brad and Laurie's wedding!
